His own success\nwas touch and go \u2013 his early years left him an angry young man who seemed\ndestined for a troubled life. Connecting with his Maori heritage set him on the\nright path. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u2018<strong>The Good Doctor<\/strong>&nbsp;by&nbsp;<strong>Lance O<\/strong>&#8216;<strong>Sullivan<\/strong>&nbsp;is a medical biography\nat its best\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His story should be required reading in every\nNew Zealand school.
